2007 Helen R. Shultz Memorial Scholarship Winner - Elizabeth McDermott

The 6th Annual 2007 Helen R. Shultz Library Scholarship was awarded on August 1st to Elizabeth McDermott of Tinton Falls, NJ. Elizabeth works for Long Branch Public Library and is a Library Science graduate student at Rutgers University School of Communications, Information and Library Studies. Elizabeth is studying for her Masters Degree in Library Science. The Friends of the West Long Branch Public Library offers the Helen Shultz Scholarship to encourage people in West Long Branch and Monmouth County to train for a career in librarianship. The scholarship awards $1000.00 for an academic year to one student who lives in West Long Branch or Monmouth County and has been accepted into a library science or paraprofessional library program. The Friends, Board of Trustees and staff of the West Long Branch Public Library congratulates Elizabeth and wishes her the best of luck in her future studies!
