Downloadable Audio Books Now Available!

We are pleased to announce that West Long Branch Public Library now offers downloadable audio books through ListenNJ courtesy of the Monmouth County Library. With your library card you can enjoy downloadable audio books on your home PC or transfer them to a compatable MP3 player.

Here's all you have to do to start downloading audio books:

1. Go to ListenNJ and install the free software (under "Software Downloads")
2. Add a title to your cart
3. Check out the title with your library card (select "Monmouth County Library") and download it for free!
   

Please note that digital audio books can be enjoyed at home, at work or when you travel, but are not for use on the computers in the library. Please stop at the Circulation Desk for more information and instructions on how to use ListenNJ!

March Art Exhibit - Hunter McKee - "Local Landscapes"

The Friends of the West Long Branch Public Library present the art exhibit for March 2007 entitled "An Exhibit of Local Landscapes and Still Lifes." This exhibit features oil paintings and prints by local artist Hunter McKee. Hunter's artwork features recognizable Jersey Shore landmarks and interpretations of everyday objects. The exhibit will be on display in our Meeting Room during regular library hours from March 9nd - 31st. Friends of the Library Annual Membership Meeting - March 11th

The Friends of the West Long Branch Public Library will sponsor their Annual Membership Meeting at the library on Sunday, March 11th from 2 to 5 PM. This meeting is open to the public! The Friends will have light refreshments. The guest speaker for the event will Paul G. Gaffney II, President of Monmouth University talking about his relationship with libraries. If you are interested in joining the Friends as an active volunteer, this is a great opportunity for you to see what the group is all about.
