Book Discussion Group February Selection: The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri

During the month of February the West Long Branch Public Library’s Book Discussion Group will be reading The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. It is the first novel by this Pulitzer Prize winning author and has been critically acclaimed for its depiction of the immigrant experience, the clash of cultures and the tangled ties between generations.

The library also has the film adaptation of The Namesake on DVD. This movie appeared in theaters in 2007 starring actor Kal Penn, who hails from New Jersey!
