During the month of March the Book Discussion Group will be reading The Ditchdigger’s Daughters by Yvonne S. Thornton, M.D. This is the remarkable story of Donald Thornton, a laborer and native of Long Branch, NJ, and his wife Tass, a domestic, who managed to rear their six daughters into careers of professional status. The Ditchdigger’s Daughters was written by one of the daughters, Yvonne S. Thornton, M.D.
