Automated System Upgrade - January 8th, 9th & 10th

On January 8th, 9th and 10th, the library will be updating its automated system, as provided by Monmouth County Library. The library will remain open during this time and circulate items manually. Our online catalog will not be available on those dates and online renewals and holds will also not be possible during this time. To better serve you during this period, all DVDs checked out from the 7th through the 10th will have a due date of January 14th. The system should be back up on January 11th but, as with all system updates, there may be delays. Please be patient with us during this time as our Circulation Desk staff will be limited in the service they will be able to provide. Some library items may not be available during this process.

Update (1/10/08, 10:00 am): Our automated system is back up and WebCAT is now accessible for remote catalog searching, renewals and holds.

Book Discussion Group January Book Selection - Home to Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani

During the month of January the West Long Branch Book Discussion Group will be reading Home to Big Stone Gap by Adriana Trigiani. Our group has embraced this series and the characters in this town tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. What challenges and life choices face Ave Maria after nearly twenty years of marriage?

“With her original cast of characters, playwright and television writer Trigiani blends playfulness and pathos in this evocative portrait of a small southern town.”-Booklist

The Book Group welcomes the New Year with a selection of new reading material. The reading list for 2008 can be viewed on the Book Discussion Group main page here. If you would like to read along with us during the year you can check out a copy of any of these books at the Circulation Desk.
